the beginning:
Conevity Solutions was founded in 2010 when it was commissioned to create an integration engine for radiology startup Poiesis Informatics. Founder Jonathan Reis had previously built integration technology for other healthcare organizations (including Philips Healthcare) as well as developed the popular HL7Spy software package.
early evolution:
A reciprocal agreement with Poiesis leveraged the core technology from HL7Spy as a foundation for new integration technology. Poiesis developed the popular Fluency For Imaging radiology platform (using Connexion), which was acquired by M*Modal in 2012.
expansion & growth:
M*Modal adopted the Connexion integration engine internally, continued funding its development, and replaced existing 3rd party integration solutions. During this period, Conevity conceived the Gateway product to replace expensive infrastructure and provide streamlined management for future offerings.
enterprise adoption:
In 2018, 3M acquired M*Modal and subsequently adopted both the Connexion and Gateway platforms. Conevity evolved these technologies to meet 3M’s enterprise requirements, including replacing costly on-premise systems with its Gateway/Remote Integrator platform.
today:
Following 3M’s divestiture of the HIS division into Solventum, Conevity has begun offering its integration technologies to the public, bringing years of enterprise-tested solutions to the general market.
